Don Stevens, B.A., M.P.A., LL.B., CHRP(C)
Managing Director

Don started working in the recruiting profession in 1972 in Manitoba with the Federal Student Employment Programs. He worked for two terms as a Placement Officer and two terms as an Office Manager with a large network of offices throughout the province under his direction. In his final term he was appointed as Assistant Coordinator of Summer Youth Employment Programs in charge of all youth employment programs in Manitoba. For the past 25 years he has worked in management with government and as CEO of his own companies. He has been responsible for the hiring and supervision of all of his employees which gives him a unique perspective on Human Resource Management.

Don also operates Stevens & Associates, International Consultants, Inc. which is an immigration consulting firm, in business since 1989 (www.stevensimmigration.com). In this role, Don has assessed the qualifications of thousands of applicants for immigration, most of whom were applying for immigration to work as skilled workers. This has required a deep understanding of the qualifications of thousands of professionals from dozens of countries and their ability to satisfy the employment criteria of Canadian businesses.

Through another company that we operate, Gateway West Developments Inc., we can provide access to project financing and construction contracting services.

Don studied Psychology, Sociology and Economics in his Bachelors degree program at university. He then completed a Masters of Public Administration with a focus in Labour Relations and Public Finance. His third degree was in Law where he took a broad range of courses including Judicial Review, Immigration Law and Administrative Law. Don is a member of the Human Resources Management Association, B.C. Industrial Relations Association and the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants. This unique combination of education, training and international business experience combined with a network of offices on four continents, allows us to offer both recruitment and immigration services at the highest level.
